Electric Whispers is a community art project organized through Portland Creative Coders. A group of creative coders met for a few hours on a Saturday. Every participant brought a piece of code artwork created using Processing on a USB memory stick. All of the USB sticks were put in a pile and every participant selected one at random. They then had 20 minutes to make whatever modifications they wanted to the code before returning the USB stick to the pile. The group went through four iterations of this and then reviewed the results. No one knew what to expect; here's what we found.
Special thanks to all of the participants who took a chance on this unique project. I hope to run another iteration of Whispers in the future that goes over a longer period of time, possibly by mail.
